Queensland Health and Medical Research Awards

The Queensland Committee of the ASMR is proud to announce the Queensland Health and Medical Research Awards for 2019.
- Postgraduate Student Researcher Award
- Early Career Researcher Award
- Mid Career Researcher Award
- Clinical Researcher Award
Finalists (three from each category) will be selected to each give a 10 minute (plus 5 minute discussion) oral presentation on the 28th of May at QIMR Berghofer MRI.

Winners for all four categories will be announced at the ASMR Medical Research Week® Queensland Gala Dinner on Friday May 31st 2019. All finalists must attend.

The Word Document (Margins 2cm and font Times Roman 12) must contain your

  (i) Lay Abstract, a short paragraph (150 words, plain text, no figures) explaining the research and its significance in non-technical language.

  (ii) Scientific Abstract, a complete scientific description of the research (300 words, plain text, no figures) including its significance to health and medicine.

  (iii) CV (two A4 page maximum)

  (iv) Publications (no page limit) including published and/or accepted publications. Not including any publications under review, submitted, and/or in preparation OR published abstracts, conference proceedings and/or conference presentations.

  (v) Career Disruptions (optional) (one A4 page limit) outlining each career disruption with the calculated full time equivalent (in months) for each disruption.
