Campion Ma Playoust Memorial Award
The Campion Ma Playoust Memorial Award is presented for the best contribution for an oral and/or poster presentation at the National Scientific Conference by a student member or a member under thirty years of age at the time of the Conference.

The Campion Ma Playoust Memorial Award was instituted by a motion of the Annual General Meeting of the Society in December 1975. It is presented for the best contribution for an oral or poster presentation at the National Scientific Meeting by a student or a researcher under thirty years of age at the time of the Meeting.
Student Travel Subsidy
ASMR offers student travel subsidies to reduce eligible student members’ costs of travel to the NSC. NOTE. Two student travel subsidies will be available for student members travelling to Brisbane for the NSC. The subsidy will available to students who have had an abstract accepted at the NSC and will include one night’s accommodation plus up to $500 towards a return airfare to Brisbane. Download the application form from the FAQs page and email to katriona@asmr.org.au no later than 5pm on Friday, 17 October 2025.

Mentoring Morning Tea:
At this year’s ASMR National Scientific Conference we will hold a Mentoring Morning Tea on day 2 (Friday 3rd November). This casual morning tea is a great opportunity for junior ASMR members to network with experienced academics in the Australian medical research community, discuss their science and receive career advice and guidance. If you are lucky, you may find yourself a new mentor-mentee relationship. Would you like to participate in the Mentoring Morning Tea?
