The ASMR Executive is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Shane Huntington OAM as the Society’s inaugural Chief Executive Officer. The appointment of the CEO denotes the beginning of a new chapter for ASMR following the development of our Strategic Plan in 2024.
Shane brings extensive experience in leadership, research, communication and engagement, making him the ideal appointment to help guide the expansion and greater impact of ASMR. During the course of his career Shane has been a successful researcher, business owner, radio producer and host, podcast host, not-for-profit CEO, strategist, consultant and trainer. Some of our members will already know Shane from his many radio interviews with medical researchers or his communication training programs that span three decades.
As President of the ASMR I’m looking forward to Shane starting in the role from 7 April 2025. Our strategic review in 2024 has positioned the ASMR to enter a period of growth, and I’m confident Shane’s experience and passion will strengthen our sector-wide engagement and allow us to flourish as we grow.
