64th ASMR National Scientific Conference: Awards
65th ASMR National Scientific Conference Awards
ASMR is pleased to offer a range of awards recognising the wonderful achievements of those within the health and medical research community.
The awards will be presented the closing ceremony of the 65th ASMR National Scientific Conference (NSC) on Wednesday, 18 November 2026.
Awards include:
- ASMR Communication Excellence Awards – two $2,000 awards for the best oral by a registrant (1) from Hons up to three years post PhD (includes additional benefits); and (2) three to 10 years post-PhD.
- ASMR Peter Doherty Leading Light Award – a $1,000 award for MCRs who are between 5 and 12 years post-doctoral, with career interruptions as per NHMRC definition taken into account. (NOTE: applications for this award must be submitted separately to the NSC registration process, download application information here). The winner will receive free ASMR NSC registration and an ASMR medal.
- Campion-Ma-Playoust Memorial Award – a $1,000 award for the best presentation by a student or ECRs under 30, named in honour of three young members of ASMR who passed away in accidents in 1972-1973.
- Undergraduate/Honours oral and poster presentation awards
- Research Assistant oral and poster presentation awards
- Postgraduate oral and poster presentation awards
- Early career researcher oral and poster presentation awards
